    Cool Combat Logging

My clan mate Lucid blew up a chopper on accident and I caught the end of him staying in game after getting kicked for #118. At the end, you can see the full animation done by people who combat log in DayZ Origins.

To be more clear, thats not the animation that a COMBAT LOGGER does, that's the animation that every single person does as they log off. At least they changed it so they don't run around any more!!

A real combat logger just disappears instantly.

Not to split hairs, don't take offense, just clarifying.

That is indeed the normal log off animation.

You can kill them during this animation and take their gear. This prevents combat logging from being an advantage.

Also, if they were kicked for that vehicle restriction the animation would play as well.

I love when this first came out and people didn't read the update notes and were still trying to combat log.. So many easy kills haha

    Hi,

You have approx 30 seconds to log out, this avoids combat loggers and yes you will do a little dance before completely logging out!

Imo 30 seconds not enough for combat loggers...but enough for regular people who need to get out... :(

Is there a reason that you do a little dance before logging out? Is it to draw attention to the character, that just seems like it's punishing everyone.

Don`t log off in bad places - nobody will see you dance.

So your saying your character does a jig even when logging out while not in combat? The video shows Lucid logging out while the "in combat" timer is still ticking down.
